Liwa

Liwa is inspired by the tradition of shaping gold into coils across the Middle East, where metal was crafted to represent strength, protection, and authority.

In regions such as Arabia and Yemen, coiled gold was believed to bind fortune to the wearer and repel harm. The continuous twisting of metal symbolized resilience — strength wrapped upon itself — and was often worn by those of status as a visible mark of power and presence.

The repeating coils of Liwa directly reference this heritage. Each twist echoes the craft of traditional coiled goldwork, while the bracelet’s form recalls bound cords and banners once associated with leadership in Old Arabia. The result is a bold, sculptural piece rooted in history, not decoration.
